While I agree that from a privacy perspective HTTPS gives us better privacy - but from a security perspective it's largely blinded security tools which are looking at detection and analysis. Every advance is double-edged, but I feel like the rush to encrypt everything may have been over-used, and now many of our tech components are blind.
